FREE - C.E.R.T. Training - Sign up by April 13, 2010 Pinion HIlls (3 Saturdays)

ATTENTION!
NEW CLASS FOR C.E.R.T. TRAINING!
COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM.
THIS TRAINING IS VITAL TO EVERY CITIZEN IN THE HIGH DESERT!

During an emergency or disaster we will be exposed to situations we have never experienced before. C.E.R.T. training will help prepare you to keep yourself safe and effectively help yourself, your family, and your community.

The class, instruction book, and the equipment you receive are provided by the county, funded by FEMA, and are free to all who complete the program!
One of the benefits of completing the program is you qualify as a county disaster worker. If you are deployed during a county declared disaster and are injured, you are covered under the county’s workers compensation insurance.

It is strongly encouraged everyone in the High Desert take advantage of this scheduled training. You never know when this training will be needed. Youth 11 to 17 may attend but must take the class over at 18 to receive equipment, text book and to get certified.

Classes will be held at: Pinon Hills Community Center, 10433 Mountain Rd. Pinon Hills, Ca. 92372
Date and time: April 17th, 24th, and May 1st, 2010, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. You must attend three consecutive Saturdays to get 21 hours of training. If you have to miss a class, you can make up that class so your certification will be valid. We can tell you how.

Please try to register by April 13th, 2010 so we can pick up your equipment and study manual before the first class.

To register, please contact: Phelan-Pinon Hills CERT class coordinator, Susan Harper at, [masked], or phone [masked]. You can register at the class; however there may not be enough back packs or study manuals for everyone. If you have to leave a message, please speak slowly and clearly, so I can understand a phone number, name, or email address. Thank you.

My husband, Uncle and a friend of mine have completed this course and found it very educational and useful. I highly recommend health conscience people like us become involved in this type of program and be prepared with our natural foods, household products and herbal medicines.
