The Apple Valley Tea Party group has the honor of having Mr. Christopher Nygeres offer a special Desert Survival Class for us: http://www.christophe... in the High Desert of Apple Valley.
He usually charges $56 and the class is held in Pasadena. We have the opportunity to do this class at only $20 per person in Apple Valley.
This class is not just for Tea Party people, but Boy Scouts and other outdoor enthusiasts who wish to learn about survival planning, food, wild plants, fire skills, water finding and purifiying, tools, etc.
Time: 11AM - 4PM (5 hours) Arrive by 10:30AM-10:45AM
Cost: $20.00 per person (Cash or check payable to Christoper Nyerges or School of Self-Reliance)

The Apple Valley location will be sent to those who RSVP Yes.
After the class Maxwell and his wife will host a BBQ, just bring a side dish. A vegan main dish will also be provided.
Since 1974, Christopher Nyerges has taken over 30,000 children and adults on Wild Food Outings, Survival Skills Outings, and other field trips and outdoor programs. He has worked with such groups as WTI Inc. (original sponsor of the outings), Tree People, Southwest Museum, Boy Scouts of America, The Sierra Club, Elder Hostel, and many colleges, schools, churches, and libraries.
He is the author of seven books, including Guide to Wild Foods and Enter the Forest. He has had thousands of newspaper and magazine articles published since the mid-1970s, and is currently the editor of Wilderness Way magazine.
His classes and workshops have been featured on all Los Angeles area television stations, including KCET’s "Life and Times" and Huell Howser’s popular "Visiting" show. For two years, he appeared on Fox TV’s "X Show," demonstrating survival skills on the streets of downtown Los Angeles.
There will be an opportunity to purchase Mr. Nygeres' books and DVDs. His latest book is, "The Self-Sufficient Home: Going Green and Saving Money." Other titles include: "How to Survive Anywhere: your guide to better living", "Guide to Wild Foods and useful plants."
