It was really good! We made homemade lip balms, bath salts/ shower scrubs, and heavenly lotion, all luxurious and non-toxic too! Met some new people, and shared organic lemon bars with acorn crust. Fun and informative...

I just love what Chuck is doing with his garden and the barrels I believe will be a hit especially for those who don't have a lot of room, but want an organic, non-gmo garden. His technique using dog hair to keep the critters out seems to be working pretty well. Thank you! Pictures will be uploaded soon.

The best way to learn is to teach. We built three worm bins for three different classes and had about seventy + children who were absolutely wonderful. We were in a little community garden area of the school. It was really lovely and needs to be promoted. Now, the children will have worm compost to add to their garden. The Master Composting program is probably one of the best I've been involved with and all the people I've met in this program are absolute warm, caring and wonderful community members.

Covered many issues including what would make a great pizza, and the topic of "critter protection" and how to keep rodents and birds away. We explored some options for our Pizza Garden location in the southern end of the Park and when to get started...sowed some Basil seeds in newspaper pots...and Great Fun with our two small boys who attended; both under 5 yrs old!

Very comfortable and informal setting and even though there were some who came in late, we were able to mingle and enjoy the input from others who attended. It seems like there is always something to take away from these workshops...Great Series!

I think this is the first time we had more men in the class than women. It was a fun hands-on experience. I thought it was great that it's so easy to can butter and have it sit on a shelf for 3 years before going bad. No more using up refrigerator and freezer space with butter. We are going to try the soup tonight!

A very important movie discussing how our judges are already ruling by International law and not Constitutional law when it comes to our children and the choices we make as parents raising them. A child complained about going to church three days a week and the judge ruled that one day was enough. It's scary what could happen when our children speak to their teachers and other adults in their lives who may not agree with your family values. A Pastor who adopted five of his eight foster children was handcuffed and arrested at church for giving his adopted son two swats for attempting to play with fire where he could have burned the house down (the adopted child had issues with pyromania). Another mother nearly had her infant removed when she did not agree to a variety of tests for her infant when the infant was ill due to a reaction to her vaccinations. The movie talks about an amendment to our Constitution to protect the rights of parents regarding vaccines, school and religion.

It's always a treat to be around like-minded people and smell all that fresh produce. I had a chance to share some information and hand out free samples from my garden and talk about Kombucha, Nopales cactus, Purslain and how to French mill soap using cooking bags and irrigation tubing.

B very knowlwedgable people however thought the focus would be on fall gardening where the first half of the prentation was on promoting a flower show in Victorville on the 9th of October. Class of approx 15 was very attentive and very intelligent questions form audience were asked. We do needmore events similiar to this here in the high desert Hopefully that can happen

It was a small quaint festival with bands and speakers. The scent of Lavendar was intoxicating. We picked up a few varieties for drying and cooking. We loved the Lavendar Berry Lemonade. The Lavendar pound cake was good too. At the end of the day we were so relaxed by all the Lavendar products such as soaps, lotions, balms and there was even some Lavendar products for dogs, we were all ready for an afternoon nap.

I got to hear two speakers lecture and then met a few speakers later on in an informal setting. Dr. Mercola was very interesting I learned a lot in regards to disregarding the Glycemic Index and that Fructose is bad for you, but Glucose is good. I tried Coconut sugar and flour. It was wonderful. The flour is also gluten free and the sugar was higher in glucose with very little fructose. We're also being over prescribed by doctors and we really need to take control and responsibility over our own health. I met a man who was the President of an organization that uses fermented soy to cure people from cancer by getting to the source of cell stems. These conferences are little mini seminars that leave you with something to think about and research on your own.

I didn't get a chance to listen to all the speakers as I was helping out outside, but the comraderie with like minded people was wonderful. Ramiel Nagel spoke on Curing Tooth Decay through the foods that you eat so you can stay out of the dentist's chair http://www.curetoothdecay.com/ and of course Sally Fallon Morell, President of the Weston A. Price Foundation. Vegans would not agree with her views on animal fats in our diet, but we are here to be educated and I believe that we make our decisions based on common sense, facts and our values.

Incredible fleece blankets. I will be putting instructions on this website with pictures of the finished product. The youngest to do this was 9 years old w/supervision as we use scissors and an awl that needs to be poked through the fabric. There's a needle for tying too, but that is it! Very simple. We were able to finish a blanket within 2 hours. (approx. 60 inches x 40 inches). With larger pieces of fabric you can make a bedspread, but that will require more tying.
